Two kinds of careers
pros and cons of different work categories
I remember talking to an actress and realising how lucky I was - that as a musician, I could just make music(!) I didn't need a whole cast, a director, a theatre, etc etc in order to do what I wanted to do.
The actress went on to star in a "one woman alien" stage production(yes, really), among many other things.

This all came back to me when I saw this Anu tweet:
2 kinds of careers:
A. you need to be the thing to do the thing (e.g. doctor) the benefit is you’re formally recognized, rare, secure in your job
B. just doing the thing is being the thing (e.g. writer) the benefit is you can start doing the thing whenever & however you want
How much of what you really want to be - and do - is category B? What's stopping you from making the art?
